Please note that elements may incur additional costs, depending on your fabric choices and may also require longer lead times depending on bespoke elements.

Tips when choosing Bespoke fabrics-

• When thinking about fabrics we recommend looking at cottons, poly cottons, cotton twills, tweeds and boiled wools. If you have a different fabric in mind just email the Nouvelle Habit team, let them know and then we will check to see if it is a viable option.
• Stripes and checks are more challenging than they might sound; due to the shapes of the pattern pieces in the habit (all have a slight curve to them) straight lines will not match up at the seams. So if this is something you are after keep this in mind.
• If you want a patterned fabric in your skirt think about the size of the pattern and the repeat – this means how often the design is repeated in the width of the fabric. Larger patterns will end up being cut up more frequently so may loose there charm. If you are unsure then don’t hesitate to contact us.
• We have a large amount of fabrics in the studio that you can pick from or we are happy to assist in helping you find one online.

Please note: If you are buying your own fabric (once you have confirmed with us it is a viable option) you will need between 2 -3m to line your skirt (depending on size ordered) ideally the width of the fabric would be 140m wide but we can work with any width.

We are going to be offering a personal fitting option soon. This will be a paid service where you can choose to have a zoom call or an in house visit in our new workshop in Devon. You will be able to look at fabrics, discuss sizing and go over all the features offered in our garments and ask any question you may have.
